Zonder, with all respect to your effort re: Propaganda...

President Bush has a strong (for America) support, but nowhere near the 99.99% (or so) which Saddam Hussein "enjoys".

Americans are bombarded by propaganda for sure, but from different directions.

If you think that you are "objective" you are just kidding yourself.

Then that takes us back to what was wrong with the Clinton deal of 2000 and why did Arafat return to using terrorism, when he had promised not do so.

I believe middle eastern Arabs for the most part are anti-semitic because of government propaganda that fills their heads with hate promotiing nonsense.

"what they perceive as extreme unfairness of Israel's crushing military power" What ocean would Israel be floating in today if it did not have a crushing military? If Arabs were more antiisrael than antisemitic, as you suggest, why were jews throughout the Arab world persecuted or driven out of their home countries? Where have all the jewish communities that once existed in almost every arab country gone to? What happened?

"Granted that it would be a Very Good Thing for PA to start educating its people and go from a destructive to a constructive mindset...:" One of the few rational things you've ever said on the middle east.
(1) I am not sure if a nation under occupation, without a home or future, killed like insects under tanks and bombs from the sky, have as priority the "education" of its people"

That is pure BS and you know it. The PA has books teaching math by talking about if you had this many Jewish pigs, and you killed so many, how many vermin would be left, and you don't think they place any value on education? They know how important education is to teach hate and are among the world's most effective at teaching it.

(2) Conversely, I am SURE that killing of civilians, especially by an all-powerful ARMY, is a crime against humanity, and should immediately cease with no conditions"

Not in the Middle East, where the rules of the rest of the world do not apply. "An eye for an eye". The crime against humanity is that Israel treats the Palestinian Arabs with way too much respect. If they treated the Arabs like Arabs treat Arabs, then the problem would go away. Turn Jenin in Hama and thinks get instantly better! I know the Israeli's don't have the stomach for that, but I'm sure that doing this would save lives on both sides! For one side to "immediately cease", while the other side continues to target would be idiotic. But unfortunately for you, we Jews are not that stupid!
