No, I think they would use "person-first" language, and not give the emphasis to the dysfunction. "Individual with extra chromosome." This emphasizes the humanity of the individual. Do you see the difference? Labels are best extracted from the individuals and not assigned by the group. But if it is assigned from the outside, the defining characteristic shouldn't be the disability.
