I agree, I didn't start the soul discussion. I was just wondering how pro-choicers feel about the practice in some parts of India of aborting fetuses when they are female and keeping the males. So far, I haven't heard from any. Personally, I abhor abortions, but I'm not convinced it should be illegal.

Most religions consider life on Earth minor, when compared to the importance of eternal life in Heaven. If that is not true, then we could explore whether or not the dogma, regarding the concept of a Heaven, is true or a scam. But, that is another subject. Getting to Heaven is the main goal of billions of people, and billions more fetuses. Getting to Heaven, for eternal joy and riches, is much more important than our meager, unimportant stay here on Earth. Many murder and torture others, to qualify for a trip to Heaven. So, what happens to a fetus here on Earth has little importance, except to the family of that fetus. << The point is that it is not man's prerogative to decide when an innocent soul should depart the Earth. >> I agree with you whole heartedly. After the soul is released from the unimportant host of the fetus, God decides whether or not that soul departs from Earth. Good observation.
