I was just watching Crossfire, and the topic was manned NASA missions. Some guy made a very strong case that most of the benefits of NASA (technology advancement) come from unmanned missions. The "science" that is done in the manned missions has to be published by NASA, because scientific journals laugh at it. So, the other guy was Bob Walker, ex-congressman, and paid NASA lobbyist. He went on and on, but had nothing to say. His big main point that he started off with was that the big benefit of NASA manned missions are to help us understand how to run future manned missions. LOL! And he went downhill from there. It's funny to watch a so-called conservative bitch & moan as his pork barrel project comes under scrutiny.
