TAUNTING NORTH KOREA Pat, The Bush team have been disgusting wrt the Korean Peninsula. They have purposefully attempted to sabotage the "sunshine" initiatives opening up travel and commerce between North and South Korea. The Bush team was in mortal fear that peace might break out in Korea and end the charage that gives the justification for a garrison of 37,000 "imperial guards" where none are welcome any longer. A really excellent study of our cynical approach to torment and treachery in Korea is contained in Chalmers Johnson's "Blowback". An excellent if understudied book that clearly lays out "why they hate us". It is with much justification. -Ray
