Tim, a color blind policy only can work if the entire population is in fact color blind.

Perhaps we have different definitions of "work".

Important judgments still are made based on the color of one's skin or their gender or their religion.

And AA is one example of this.

Given that discrimination still exists, what do you want?

To eliminate offical government discrimination or discrimination imposed by government rules and to discourage it elsewhere, whether such discrimination is against black people, or white people, or hispanics, or women, or other groups. To treat eveyone as an individual whenever possible. But not to try to compensate people with some sort of reverse discrimination.
