Clinton raised spending but paid for it. And gave us a great economy and balanced budget. I'll take that approach any day. I dont deficit finance at home and I dont want my government to do it. States have no such luxury and have to balance budgets. Now we're seeing massive cuts in essential services across the board, partly due to financial mismanagement at the federal level. Nobody likes taxes but we're adults and we can agree to pay as we go. And those who keep on defending the billionaires' "right" to get off easy are adding seriously to the problem.
