<< Yes. Liberals should think of the death penalty as retroactive abortion. >>

They would still think that the death penalty was wrong. Why? Because there is a chance of executing a felon, with a mile long record of arrests and felonies, but didn't commit the specific murder for which he was charged.

One that angers me greatly is the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was convicted of killing Philadelphia Policeman Daniel Faulkner. There are movie stars, politicians and international representatives trying to free Abu-Jamal.

danielfaulkner.com

From the website: "According to Jamal, he used this position to call for a violent race-based revolution. He wrote such things as, "I for one feel like putting down my pen. Let's write epitaphs for pigs" -- "pigs" meaning "police.""

Many treat Jamal as a hero. There is great pressure to get him off of the murder charge.

In the meantime, brave policemen, in each city of our country, risk their lives each day, and yet, one false move, one second hesitation, and a murderer like Abu-Jamal goes on to become a famous hero, and a true hero like Philadelphia Policeman Daniel Faulkner lies cold in the grave.

Thanks! A little dark humor is good for the soul. <g>
