I cringed when Bush said he was being tough on corporate criminals last week during his speech. Yeah right. A few high-profile busts then nothing since. When they busted Fastow of Enron I was hoping for some action but looks like the SEC is a partisan affair. Enron was Bush's #1 corporate ally. They were so close it's probably a matter of blackmail. I'm sure Ken Lay could bring down Bush if he testified enough in open court rather than just taking the 5th. Enron left victims everywhere. But Enron was not alone. james Baker's Reliant, Dynegy, El Paso, Williams and others, all part of the Bush "family", all major white collar criminals who ought to be treated like the Mafia.
