Just pointing that out to those who want to compare California's deficit to the federal deficit.

California's money was stolen.

As i understand it, one of the stupid things California and others have done is count the excessive capital gains revenues as something they could depend on in the future instead of as a windfall.

Davis is now talking about taxing internet sales which is another nail in the industry. But what choice does he have.

He can carve a little out of CA's huge, bloated state budget. CA's tax burden is way too high, even when removing the energy fiasco from the equation. If you Californians let him get away with taxing the internet, in addition to all the other exorbitant taxes that you pay, you're really screwing the pooch, IMO. Best of luck...
