Very difficult to understand. They seem comfortable in their hypocrisy. I think Clinton is the one to associate with thongs, not Thomas. Message #353877 from Lazarus Long at Feb 5, 2003 1:28 AM And many of those who defended Clinton went after Clarence Thomas with hammer and tongs (thongs? :-) ). For doing much less. I remember the President of NOW, who had rabidly attacked every other alleged exploiter of women who made the headlines, defending Clinton. It boiled down to "He's our SOB, he pushes our views, and we'll defend him to the death! The fact that he's an exploiter himself is irrelevant."
