Lightfoots song about the Edmund Fitzgerald is a classic

The "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is the song, I guess. Never heard it. I loved Burl Ives. He did a lot of Children and Gospel. But He sang just about all the Ballads of the 20th Century. 1905-1995. His major hits were, "On top Of Ol' Smoky," "A Little Bitty Tear," "Blue Tail Fly" and "Big Rock Candy Mountain." Ballads are certainly Folk Songs.
