Bechtel is private, and not so much secretive but quiet.
These companies are run by engineers, who don't tend to talk much, and their projects, like dams, roads, factories, bridges, tend to be very visible and speak for themselves.

George Schultz and Caspar Wienberger were both executives there. Fluor used to be a public large contractor, but I think they were bought by Washington Group, which is up in Idaho.
