the Israeli government and people desperately yearn for this violence to end. Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority have chosen - and often sung the praises of - ongoing, violent confrontation.

I have to amend this as "Israeli and Palestinian people want peace and prosperity, while their leaders and extremist factions want ongoing conflict for continuing power".

The main reason there are fewer Israeli casualties is that fewer Israelis are involved in the violence.

Come on, this is ridiculous :-)

I see now that this is taken from the website "The Jewish Agency". If it's all the same to you, Neocon, I'd rather talk on the viewpoints of relatively objective third parties, rather than Palestinians and Israelis.

You may have noticed I never quote or link to Arab websites, let alone Palestinian ones. That is not because I cannot find them.

Zonders response to Powell's speech was posted at 11am. That means that she started preparing her note, condemning Powell, before Powell even started talking.

Does that mean that zonder is a phony? Does it mean that zonder has a reason for wanting to defend and protect the Iraqi regime? Does it mean that zonder is a can short of a sixpack? <g>

Why is zonder in such a hurry to come to Iraq's defense, even if it leads to Iraq being able to use it's weapons of mass destruction against others?
