I don't care whose point is being made. I have acknowledged from early on that the U.S. was acting in their self-interest. What I have objected to is the portrayal by some on this thread that the U.S. is the only one with a conflict of interest in this matter. It can equally be said that the French, Russians and Germans have financial interests that are influencing them.

As I said earlier to someone, "Give me a list of all the countries that don't act in their self interest, and we'll let them decide."
