My bigger point was more what happened after periods rapid expansions in equity values or after bubbles burst....It was fairly clear to experienced market watchers that this particular presidential term was going to be very "interesting" no matter who occupied the oval office....and that includes the boy genius assuming he could have a third term...

I am not trying to dispute your numbers...but we both know this last bubble skewed the results....If you are willing to blame the great depression on republicans, kindly tell me what particular Hoover policy caused the crash of 1929 9-10 months into his administration? .....

There is only one President that has made a any significant economic difference in the last half of the century and that is Ronald Reagan.
