Where's the equity in someone who earns more in having to pay out a greater percentage of that income than the next guy?
It's easy, there is a basic survival rate that is not taxed. There is a minimal rate that is taxed modestly. There is a normal rate for the normal case, and a luxury tax for those who have been extraordinarily blessed by the system that we all work in. It's far more equitable than having the rich looting the poor.
