Reap:

It's getting to be like an abbatoir floor out there in tech land. (g)

Probably once again too "early" but am getting an itchy finger. Added today and unless we get some Iraq-related positive news (like Saddam took a hike or some-such), I will just keep on adding a dollop every day or two.

Today's action has to be viewed as worse than "nasty" by the chartsters and the parade of ugly warnings/earnings is unending. With the funds under redemption pressure (and remember that many of them borrowed big last year to avoid stock sales), low on cash and deep in imploding stocks, we could see some consequential bloodletting as this little bear straps on his skates.

I wonder how many fund managers understand a quaint Canuck concept known as "heads-up hockey" (as in taking a pass looking over your shoulder just before you are crushed by a gap-toothed gorilla). I suspect most don't and I also detect some bruising, brutal defensemen "lining 'em up" at the blueline. (g)

Best, Earlie
