How would a business survive an environment like that? While getting less and less income from sales, you are maintaining production levels and increasing productivity. I guess you are coaxing more and more out of fewer and fewer employees. Not to mention your fixed overhead costs.. That is one scary prospect, especially when you look at China. They have huge population of workers that work at a minute fraction of workers in the west. It would seem that they have the ability to deeply undercut the established pricing structure, while having a huge margin to allow for the growth of the wealth of their workers..
