"From your lips to God's ears", as my Jewish friends would say. (g)

To be serious, there sure is a smell of formaldehyde in the air of late and old Earlie hates to miss a good wake. (g)

I don't pretend to have any better clue than any other member of the "thug" gang, but at this end, the markers are all leaning in one direction so I have been foraging well clear of the foxhole. Besides which, one can always "box" in a hurry if the bulls become exuberant. Put simply, I think a bunch of funds are on the edge of panic (little cash, up to their eyeballs in non-performing stocks and minimal exposure to gold). From their perspective, I suspect that the current stock market looks like the tail end of a traffic accident on a freeway If my perception proves accurate, their penchant to act as a herd could trigger some "crowded exits". We shall see.

best, Earlie
