Much of our remaining oil lies beneath our national treasures, like our nicest seacoasts, wilderness and wildlife refuges. All the less offensive drilling has been done, but nobody wants to sacrifice our last wild beautiful places for the sake of slowless to convert from the internal combustion engine. Nobody except the oil companies and their lobbyists. I've been doing some research and hydrogen and other cleaner fuel cars are already ready for action. Only thing missing is the infrastructure. Due to the attitude that change is too difficult. Some of these cars are even more powerful that gasoline cars. But we wont get them until our government makes the political commitment.
