Alex, just because my broker reads SI occassionally I feel the need to respond to this, otherwise I wouldn't bother with this petty behavior.

The broker I have is based in SF and actually runs a hedge fund. He has been ranked nationally as a hedge fund manager before but has had some bad years lately... still, a well known guy. When he buys a stock (and hence I buy it) for the fund, its in a hedging portfolio. He bought cisco long last year at 14 along with a bunch of other internet high flyers incl amazon, thinking they would rally. Obviously for the most part this didn't work out but otoh there wasn't a crash in cisco either. Some of his other stocks rallied and most all his shorts went down. The fund was up for the year, not like the boom times when he routinely had 200% returns but ok for me, for this year. No I'm not dumping him, I'm lucky to be in the fund, I joined when he was just starting out and now he has some well known executives as clients, I wouldn't have a prayer of getting in now, since there are only 98 investors allowed in the fund.

You must have spent 4 hours digging up that post!!! LOL! Think you embarrassed me or something? I don't get it.

btw what I was talking about wrt cisco on this thread had nothing to do with what you posted yesterday. And since I was the only one who posted about it, I have to assume you were trying to characterize my pov with respect to the company. I don't think cisco is a grower right now.

However, (and this is important)- there was a time cisco would have taken a major hit to the stock price with numbers like that.
