You, and everybody else in the world. You won't see any headlines tomorrow that read, "Powell distorts Iraq," except in rags like "The Nation," or the Arab newspapers.

I think we will all see eventually that the entire Administration put themselves in this position months ago. The easy political thing to do would have been to do nothing. Heck, he could have lobbed a missile or two someplace....But no, they didn't do that easy thing.

Think back to the Time magazine article in the few days following 9-11. President Bush said then, to every single member of his Cabinet....looking them in the eye...."The American people must get on with their lives. But WE can NEVER forget. I will NEVER forget."

He said in this article, as I recall, that it was the duty of the President and Cabinet to do their best to protect the American citizens. I believe he understands that, and there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't have that thought in his head.

Personally, I believe him. I don't believe he would be convinced, and put his reputation on the line with history at stake, if there were any doubt in his mind. The evidence must be overwhelming behind the scenes.
