Actually, since I started seeing Kerry as the natural next Prez things have gotten better and better. Sometimes I feel like a prophet. I really do believe he's going all the way and for once in my life have volunteered to help. Before doing this though I had a dinner with two Kerry campaign heads and asked them seriously if Kerry had any skeletons in his closet. I also asked my Republican friend who worked for Weld against Kerry. I got the answer I wanted. No corruption, sex addiction, alcoholism or anything else major. And the war record is just the ticket to the White House in this day and age. I also predicted Carter before the first primary, Clinton before the Iowa caucuses. Bush beating Dukakis was easy to predict. Bush-Gore I just predicted would be damn close. And it couldn't have been any closer. I didn't predict Reagan only because I was abroad at the time and not paying attention. But I had little faith in Mondale. Nice guys don't always win.
