I was quite taken aback by that also. The old hands rushed to the nearest studio and this clown plays golf. I suspect that was not a good career move in the long haul.

Rande, I was guilty of the same crime. Out at golf at 7 AM with 2 friends, when we got to the clubhouse after some rounds etc and heard the news at noon we were shocked.
Now a supposedly networked guy like Brown, you expect him to be like a doctor and carry an emergency beeper or a celphone..
So he did, he knew and he ignored it for the personal prestige of being cheek and jowl with a few celebrities.
Guy knows not where his priorities lie, as those same celebs will now look down on him and the very thing he wanted from them will be taken from him....appreciation and respect....all gone.
A definite career endangering/killing move.

Bill

Playtime disrupted by life.

Yes, that is the attitude of many airheads these days, no pun intended.... On that tragic day, I had the opposite reaction, dropping much of my play to concentrate on the sad story taking place.
