This forecast may be correct for the ultimate end of the secular bear market. But, who knows when that is going to be? The Nikkei still hasn't bottomed after how many years? I just don't see this kind of capitulation in the near future without a big event. People are not quite ready to give up on stocks. Many bears think that is what it will take to end this and they may be right. History is certainly on their side. When you look at charts that show valuation or sentiment, we are still very high in historical terms. What they cannot say is whether this mass exodus will happen sooner or later. I think that the current level of disgust will not lead to a mass exodus all by itself in the near term. It could take years.
