Well, I guess you could relate to the ECMs like this: there is no way that the ECMs will actually recover without some sort of general economic recovery, especially in electronics and telcom, since that is where most their business is. ECMs are as pure a play on economic recovery as you can find, I think, and with the capacity wringing that is happening right now in the sector, one can hope at least for a great buying opportunity at some point, if we can only spot it. Or, if Bush's policies don't lead to a turnaround but more general stagnation, then we will continue to see stagnation in ECM shares, even from current depressed levels of .20-.50 PSRs.

Not exactly profound, but its the best I can do at the moment.
