The U.S. could have finished the energy generation that was promised and finished the road and rail links.

We should have continued "Paying the Danegeld" even though the NKs had broken the agreement? OK. At least I know where you stand.

TP,

North Korea was primed and ready to trade their way into the world stage

On what evidence do you base this conclusion?

o the Framework with the US shich they broke?
o the sunshine policy with the South that they bought?
o something else?

John

Just finished a call with a friend predicting that(after Iraq) the next state to be "defensed" by the left would be North Korea. With your permission Tiger Paw, i will forward your post along. Kim Jong Il is really a huggy bear. Do you have any idea how bad your comparison of NK to the Chinese regime of 1993 really is? If you dont ask the Chinese. The correct comparision is to Stalin in his last years. Mike
