I assume that most of those who make this comparison majored in science, or literature, and never had a real history class in their lives, or else never went to college, but stopped at high school or technical school. Elitism at its finest.

Common comparison? Who is alleged to have compared Bush to Hitler? Methinks somebody has gone off the deep end. Godwin's law is frequently demonstrated around here, but I'd say the vast majority of demonstrations point at people insufficiently reverential toward W, not at W and his faithful flock.
