And part of the Canadian "Faring for themselves" involves warding off the theft of our resources by the US, softwood lumber for example.

They have to start from scratch. No more big economy sucking the stuff they just harvest. Oh, by the way, natural resources dont matter anymore. People do matter. Hence Canada has to be prepared to go for a 140 million inhabitants.

You know Canada have never needed a huge population since it has used the US one. Now it is time to have its own.
