I think Paul Shread has been keeping it by subtracting out the leap 05 and 04 QQQ's that traded.

Shack "amateurs" I agree

And they're probably wigglers, too.

By no means do I consider myself a "pro" but I considered for a long time whether to incorporate intraday P/C into my trading strategy, and I decided not to. I've been trying to figure out for an even longer time why so many people pay such close attention to this sentiment indicator. It probably has more instances of indicator failure than the vast majority of all other popular indicators.

I'm not trying to disparage those who use it, but nobody has made its usefulness (stand-alone or otherwise) clear to me on an intraday basis or otherwise.
