People want to return to those days. But can they really?

Iraq has really been the beacon of education in the middle east. Even now, their women are the most liberated, most educated. And i don't support dictatorship at all. I'm just not sure that in intervention will make them achieve that earlier state they want to revert to.

I believe every civilization under a tyrant reaches a point where the pain of bearing the oppression becomes more than the pain of revolt. Till that point is reached, and they themselves work for their revolt, till they understand what it takes to be free, they will be incapable of living in a free society, they will misuse the freedom and lose it to someone else who promises them freedom, they won't want to be custodians and defenders of their freedome...

The US govt has not done them a favor. They've harmed them by interferring in their balance of life, hence the strife in Afghanitan and destabilisation of the arab world.......

My question was about the difference between Pakistan and India. Look how foreign interference in the form of 'aid' and 'help' has destroyed the fibre of their society vs Indian socialism and isolation over 40 years made it stronger, at least as far as understandig the value of democracy is concerned.

Nothing comes free. Their freedom with US help will come at a cost that will make them hate US even more in the future....we just have to ask Kuwait.
