Amy,
I am simply wanting Intel to come out with honest earnings. Your cheaply bought stocks at around $16 may sell for $8 if the cost of the stock give-away program is expensed.

The Grove's Inner Circle might have been real smart selling at these prises that you consider low...humble carl

Also, it is truly amazing that you cannot even figure out how someone such as the CEO of Schwab, a financial company that overseas a trillion investment dollars (look it up Carl, I did), offers value?

I think the question posed was whether the valued offered by Pottruck was less than the value of his compensation package. In terms of Schwab it's a fact that Pottruck has been co-ceo since 1998. The share (split adj.)price to start 1998 was $8.82 a share. The closing price today is $8.70. So in 5 years since, the stock price has lost value. Throw in dividends and you get maybe a 1/2% annualized return. As he is only a co-ceo he only gets 1/2 credit though so his contribution to shareholders comes to 1/4% a year in return. About $875 over the five years after tax on a $100,000 investment. And this is the kind of business savvy that we should be thankful for?? Oy vey!

As Tim May wrote: 'are outside directors worth the roughly 10,000-34,000 shares they get per year (priced at SEC-mandated levels)? Intel shareholders have decided so.'

Thankful to the tune of 10k-34k shares per year! Wow. Have Intel shareholders decided so? Not really. A majority of Intel shareholders have not voted against Mgmnt's recommendations. Big difference when the biggest chuck of the vote is in the bag, eh? all imho of course.
