U.N. Security Council Sets Conditions for Invasion
scrappleface.com

(2003-02-05) -- After U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell's compelling presentation of evidence that Iraq is violating U.N. sanctions, the Security Council passed a resolution authorizing the use of force if the following qualifications are met:

--Multiple independently-targetted warheads are launched from Iraq toward any nation but Israel.

--Thousands of civilians in a U.S. city begin keeling over from the effects of poison gas and Saddam Hussein personally claims responsibility for the attack.

--Saddam Hussein is photographed sitting astride a plutonium tipped ICBM with the words "To Russia, with Love" painted on it.

--Iraqi military officers are photographed launching a ship laden with clearly marked canisters of Sarin or VX. The bow of the ship must bear the words "Slow boat to China"

--Photographs prove that Iraqi SCUD missiles, bearing biochemical agents and emblazoned with the words "The French Connection," are about to be launched.

All I know is if I had to present to the world information on issues of such import, I would present whatever did the job best. If I believe what is said, I don't care where it came from. I find it very humorous that anyone thinks differently.

And if some other nobody said it exactly the same way, that that someone had just gotten a major marketable credibility infusion. Far more valuable than any words in some obscure presentation. No compensation.... LOL...

In that Secretary Powell had demonstrated so often his respect for President Bush. Any poll that suggests 60% find one credible and only 30% find the other credible, LOL well all who are not idiot's know 30% are illogical idiot's in judging character. LOL that's in addition to the 40% who are just plain idiot's.

What it really shows is that talking heads con so many fools into believing any nonsense.

Thank's Rascal that was extremely funny.

In light of the fact that Ibrahim al-Marashi used to work for the US State Department as a specialist in Iran-Iraq affairs, isn't it more likely that he "plagiarized" himself? Otherwise known as "retreading."

>>Prior to joining CNS, Marashi worked with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University on a project classifying captured Iraqi state documents. He was also a researcher on Iran-Iraq affairs at the US State Department, Congressional Research Service, and National Defense University. <<

I don't see him complaining about the State Department using his research - which shouldn't be surprising under the circumstances - that he worked for the US government at the time the research was done, and was most likely given access to documents that he otherwise couldn't have accessed.

So the most trusted person in the administration is ill-served by a support staff guilty of intellectual theft.

You are jumping to the wrong conclusion. Did you read the report with any care?

Powell did not issue a report that had been plagiarized. You need to make sure you undersand that basic point before you start pointing fingers.
