If I were looking for a wartime president, a time in which I thought it was necessary to give up on improving domestic programs, and the country needed the most credible leadership possible, he would be well up on my list.

Some of us believe we are at war, though perhaps a kind of war which no one has seen before. This kind of slippery war, with few videos, photos, pitched batttles, etc, yet expensive nonetheless makes your contention that it is not necessary to give up on improving domestic programs a bit suspect, at least to me.

The last President who thought he could have guns and butter failed miserably--a reason why I think the tax cuts are probably not a good idea, at least not at this point.
