Softie, What's really funny is the fact that I'm a real estate developer and one of my partners is a publicly traded homebuilder and I can tell you that earnings projections are going up not down and valuations are more compelling now than in recent time. As Bearish as I am, I am still amazed by the strength of home sales. I had lunch today with my partner, the CEO of the company and asked him when he thought the bubble would pop...his response "they aren't making any more land" It's all about supply and demand. I asked about unemployment, his response "94% of the people are still working. The company is about to record it's best year in history...go figure! BTW, I'm still short :) the DIA.
