"This is an industry-wide problem, not an Intel-specific problem."

No question about it.....you could substitute any one of several hundred company names for Intel in the last 40 posts and the conversation would be essentially the same.

GV, my statement was partially made in jest in response to Carl, who in my "humble" opinion made a rather ridiculous statement.

I and my friend Felix would say: We resemble that remark<vbg>

Honest talk, however, must prevail

What is a Bean Counter worth versus Intel Engineers?

Director Pottruck certainly did not put in full 40 hour weeks designing the great give-away programs for the Inner Circle. Maybe he worked 1 hour a week on this project compared to the 40 hour week that our Intel engineers would work. (Most engineers at Intel diligently work 60-80 hours a week with the utmost dedication).

Based on the pay he received our dedicated Intel engineers needs their pay increased by a factor of at least 1000 times. To make it an equitable pay situation all Intel Engineers should receive pay raises of 100,000%!

Sounds silly, but should Intel engineers not be on a pay scale on par with "Bean Counters?". Personally I think that they should be on a higher pay scale. They are the backbone of the company, but the Inner Circle have ignored or forgotten all about the important role they pay.

Two Questions for you:
a) You being an Intel employee: Will you accept my proposed pay increase?
b) As an Intel stockholder: Can you afford my plan?

Without pay equity Grove and his Inner Circle will do a great job in p*ssing off the Intel employees...humble carl
