As for the Arab audience, as conditions exist we cannot afford to withdraw from the region....

Many Arabs, not just politicians, don't want the US to withdraw, and will be cheered if the US overthrows Saddam Hussein.

Part of the common view there - and its fuel for the islamofascists and a general generator of distrust, if not dislike - is that "the US is always on the side of the dictators." And often times it has been and shouldn't be.
