How about pulling our financial support out of the UN? Let China, Africa and the Arab nations, pay for their own stupidity.

Absolutely. Personally, I'm against giving U.S. taxpayer aid to any country, under most circumstances.

If we pull the troops too far out, we may have to bail Europe out of a world war, again, as they surely will screw everything up, again.

Right. Like I said - we could, and should, still leave equipment deployed near trouble spots with skeleton crews for maintenance and preparation. If trouble were to arise, we could have rapid deployment forces (elements of 18th Airborne Corp is what I'm mainly thinking of) on the way within 18 hours; and there's always air and sea power than can be brought to bear in short notice.
