Yes, there are.

They're all over the world.

And the entire ME has Noritake, DuPont, Bank Of America, Rolls Royce, BMW, construction, IBM....everything. Nothing of their own. Thats why i think a complete trade embargo will work better than an assault. They even import veggies and meat.

I assumed you were talking about political leanings....

I think they've maintained their neutrality as much as they could, considering that they live in that region and are Moslem States.

I believe they're crazy about England and English. Diana's divorce wasn't as discussed in UK as it was in Dubai ! <g> Fewer Americans than British though...but that may have changed after the Gulf was as Americans were awarded 90% of the contracts for rebuilding Saudi, Kuwait and Bahrain, may have affected the entire region...

You know, the White House didn't flinch when Saddam first invaded Kuwait. After Thatcher visited Bush for a day, he suddenly had smoke coming out of his ears. That wouldn't have anything to do with Maggie's oil investments in the region, would it? -g-
