You might not believe this, but I have absolutely nothing against Jewish people, and have quite a few among my friends. I go to synagogues with them every once in a while when one gets married or loses a loved one. If I say I heard some sermons that demean non-Jewish people, it is because they happened (and Jewish friends apologized profusely afterwards) but it was OK

Well, I apologize for any prejudicial statements you may have heard, but it's still not exactly the same as a major religious sect routinely instructing its members to hate infidels and wage jihad upon them until they are killed or submit. This is commonplace in Salafi mosques.

As for bad reactions to non-Jewish sweethearts, lots of people who have an ethnic identity are unhappy to see their children marry out of it. However, there are worse reactions. I remember one Israeli documentary I saw about mixed Arab/Jewish marriage. They showed eight marriages, all Arab men to Jewish women. I wondered why they couldn't find any Arab women married to Jewish men, but that was explained quite matter-of-factly in the film. There were no such marriages, one of the Palestinian husbands told us, because the woman's family would kill her. Every couple nodded in agreement at this statement.
