They also sell puts bec they sell volatility..ie they bet volatility will go nowhere fast (and not up)..so in that sense they are bullish ie no big declines..not necessarily bullish for a ramp. Note the declining volatility in price too.

A simple glance at QQQ open interest will show that this will go nowhere between 24 and 25. (bounded by these levels) So max pain is now 25 with 24 and 26 almost equally weighted so they cancel out.

Do you really think 2005's were being put on to unwind two days later on a .40 move up?

I doubt it.
Those 2005's arent going to affect anything for months, possibly years IMO.

This was not a daytrade.
