Can you see the dominance of American oil companies (and some British)?

The government set aside an oilfield for UK companies to tackle - in gratitude for Britain's part in the war - but the consortium subcontracted much of the work to a US group.

. Han, Vo Xuan. 1994. Oil, the Persian Gulf States, and the U.S.
(Westport, CT: Preager)

This is a book that relates all of the Middle East countries along with the
U.S. and their oil policies with one another. It has a good description of
the post OPEC oil market and the major players that are still involved in
the oil industry. It also touches on the special relationship that the U.S.
has developed with the Middle East countries such as Kuwait and Saudi
Arabia, at least their governments. The people in these countries still
resent American involvement in their affairs, especially Saudi Arabian
civilians.

There is quite a bit out there about US oil companies' involvement in Kuwait oil industry. Take a look around if you have a minute.

>>>Saudi Arabia is weaker than Iraq??? <<<
I thought this was common knowledge.

No it's not. Iraq is the weakest country with such natural riches, thanks to a long period of successful containment which has kept them from capitalizing those very riches.
