A woman gets home, screeches her car into the driveway, runs into the
house, slams the door and shouts at the top of her lungs, "Honey, pack
your bags. I won the lottery!"
The husband says, "Oh, my God! Really? What should I pack, beach stuff
or mountain stuff?"

" Doesn't matter," she says. "Just get the hell out."

Has anyone here recently looked at John Deere. I noticed the stock was getting close to $40 and another 20% down used to be a good value for the stock. Well this management team has loaded the company with debt like there is no tomorrow over the last 10 years. Is there an American corporation left with shareholder value left these days!!!!!! Depressing.

These Aussies are great "the industry hadn't yet evolved from traditional door-to-door life insurance sellers to professional advisers."

Money advisers under fire
By Tim Boreham
February 11, 2003

MAJOR financial services companies have defended the billions of dollars they've invested in expanding, after a damning report on the quality of advice.

But most agreed the report, by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Consumers Association, showed the industry hadn't yet evolved from traditional door-to-door life insurance sellers to professional advisers.
