"the ends justify the means." Exactly the mind-set of the second-stringers like Brzezinski, where the ends are political dominance by the US First-stringers like Bush Senior, Cheney, Kissinger, Rumsfeld, simply see manufactured terrorism as a means towards personal wealth and power.

I suppose we're simply gonna have to treat rightwing extremism, now firmly implanted in the White House and, via presidential appointments ever so slowly permeating within the judiciary, much like alcoholism: Recovery likely won't come until bottom is reached! It's just unfortunate that the scenario now on the table likely means hundreds of thousands of people will die as a consequence.
