I would not be long that stock. Talk to Reaper, he has all the info on the retailers, he is excellent at fundamental analysis.

J, they rang the bell for HOTT two weekends ago at the Super Bowl. Ozbournes do the TV commercial and Gwen Stefani does halftime. also, they (HOTT) announced a 14% comp a couple of days ago and the stock went DOWN; the market selling what should be good news is never cool.

its actually a very good business; excellent capital returns and for reasons that i don't understand the kids shop there. but....the trend for that 'look' has peaked and is headed the other way. at the height of the Boy Band hysteria (remember that 2 years ago that Justin Timberlake & Britany did the Super Bowl) HOTT sales per foot were about 25% lower than they are now and it was a single-digit stock.

it also trades for almost 5x book. only the VERY best retailers (companies like HD or BBBY) can hold that kind of multiple for any material length of time.

JMHO of course.

Cheers
