I asked one of my nephews who currently flies in an AWACS plane over the Iraqi no-fly zone. His non-biased opinion is that the USAF is quite a professional bunch, but not quite as good as the RAF, of course!
Of course, since my son joined the USAF, I'm sure it's improving. :-)
