Ted, <What's obvious is that you all don't want the inspections to work!>

First of all, let's make it clear what the ultimate goal is: disarmament and getting Saddam to behave.

Check!

Second, let's make it clear what the goal of inspections are: to prove one way or the other whether Saddam is in compliance or not. Inspections do not disarm. Inspections only show whether Saddam has truly disarmed or not.

Check!

Third, Powell has shown that inspections aren't working because Iraq is clearly playing a shell game. Is the solution more inspectors? France thinks so. Reminds me of a clueless manager who only wants to throw more money and/or manpower at a problem, not realizing that the plan itself is fundamentally flawed.

Look.....if we went to war everytime someone tried to hide what they were doing, we would be at war 24/7. There are at least ten to twenty Saddams out there......I have no interest being at war 24/7.

And fourth, I want inspections to succeed! I want the free world to see that Iraq is playing them like fools, and I want the free world to finally admit to the horrors that Saddam is capable of. I want the anti-war activists to realize what they are allowing to happen if we do nothing. And I want the world to remember the horrors of WWII and hold true to their promise of "Never Again."

The free world and the anti war activists know what Saddam is.......they have no illusions.

The problem is is that someone told conservatives that they are intellectually superior, are doing God's work, and somehow see things the rest of us don't. Whoever said that to you is wrong.....we see what you see. However, we are not willing to pull the trigger as fast as you are. Your kind shoot first and ask questions later......we are the inverse. Sometimes your way of thinking can be good but most times its best to ask questions first and get the lay of the land, then shoot......as a last resort.

Like you, I don't want to see a war, either. I'd rather go back to the 90's (yes, even if it means having that lying politician in office)

Let me make something clear.........you think Clinton is a liar.....well then he's a piker compared to the people we have in office right now. The reason: the people currently in office think they are superior to the rest of us. People who are elitists tend to think its okay to fool the little guy if they think the cause is right. They are all borderline socio-paths/ideologues. When I say Rumsfield is evil, I say that from my gut, not my head, and based on experience, my gut tends to be right 99% of the time. IMO he should be kept away from any source of power.

believe that nothing is wrong with this world, and make money fast. But denial never lasts forever, as the "New Economy" and 9/11 proved to us. Let's start living in reality, even as we fight for a peaceful ideal.

Sorry, no one who is against war is in denial.....not like D. Ray who in his head already has minimized the numbers of deaths from this war. We are all too familiar with the reality of war and its consequences. Sure there is evil out there; dropping the bomb on that evil is not the only solution if for no other reason than there is a lot of evil to go around.
