Sure, PFE remains one of my longs. Pharmaceuticals are one of the areas where I feel safe because it's something that will always be in high demand no matter what happens. As for the rest of it, to each his own. I understand playing the buy on fear game when one is dealing solely with economic uncertainty but in this case nobody, including our own government, can say for sure what tricks the bad guys have up their sleeves. I don't need money so bad that I feel it's necessary to take what I consider to be unreasonable risks. My house is paid for, my car is paid for, I have enough money to live on for the rest of my life, and I have zero debt. I play the game for the fun of it but I draw the line when there's live ammo in the chamber. I'm not that much of a thrill seeker. I think what worries me are the biological agents our adversaries may have. We've all heard of the smallpox threat but what most people don't understand is that there are about 20 strains of smallpox. The vaccines currently being given out to health care workers and government officials are devised to defeat the most common strains. What was weaponized by the former soviet union during the cold war was some of the rarer strains that were genetically engineered to defeat current vaccines. If they were to be released, those who had been vaccinated would be just as much at risk as the rest of us. This is just ONE of many very REAL possibilities that exist that could totally devastate out economy. The gun is loaded. Anybody want to spin the chamber for a few bucks??
