<<Our minds don't work like that.>>

But our minds are starting to. To me the worst part of this terrorism is we've lost a lot of fun out of life. Remember the 60s and 70s maybe the 80s? Taking an airliner to vacation was grand and glorious. Just living the airliner experience was grand. Now the airlines are hurting and security ruins the fun. No fun or glory now.

We can't imagine shooting perfect strangers while they pump gas.

Thats the problem, lack of imagination. Rest assured Mr. Arbu Farquar will vapourize one of these late evenings as he works pumping gas at the Baghdad 7-11 and is anxious to get home and see little Muffy Farquar before she is off to bed. He is looking forward some day to being freed from the oppression of Saddam. Bad news Arbu....

Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "That's the beauty of low tech warfare. They hit us where we are the most vulnerable, because we can't imagine blowing up nightclubs, pizza parlors, and day care centers, or poisoning salad bars. We can't imagine shooting perfect strangers while they pump gas."

So are you admitting that the DC shootings were a form of terrorism, or are you now classifying them instead as "low grade warfare".

On the subject shooting perfect strangers, that is exactly what the military trains you to do (if you're a sniper), while they're pumping gas or standing in line at the can.
